HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Jets defensive end John Abraham and linebacker Mo Lewis had MRI exams Monday and their status for this weekend's game against the New York Giants is uncertain.

Abraham strained his groin against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and Jets coach Herman Edwards said Abraham still is "very, very sore." Lewis has soreness in his hip and back. He had offseason surgery to remove loose particles from his left hip.

The results of the tests were not available.
