TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed former Indianapolis safety David Gibson on Wednesday, and released fullback Cecil Martin.
Gibson, a sixth-round draft pick by Tampa Bay in 2000, appeared in 25 games for the Bucs before being traded to the Colts in September 2002.
He started nine of 13 games he played in Indianapolis last season, and was released by the Colts on Aug. 31.
Martin, who played the last four seasons with Philadelphia, signed with Tampa Bay on Oct. 14. He was inactive for the last two games.
