Cobbs returns to practice
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas tailback Cedric Cobbs, who has been suffering from a hamstring injury, returned to practice on Wednesday.
He joined De'Arrius Howard, who returned to the practice field Tuesday.
"Cedric is not at full speed, but it was good to see him out at practice and see him go through some run polish and handling the ball," said coach Houston Nutt, who noted that hamstring injuries are difficult to treat. "It's much better than we'd thought it would be today, so that's positive."
The Razorbacks (4-3, 1-3 Southeastern Conference) are preparing for their fifth conference matchup of the season, Kentucky (4-4, 1-3).
Arkansas worked on anticipating different coverages they will see from the Wildcats, who blitz often. Nutt emphasized the importance of maintaining an effective running game.
Saturday's game is in Lexington, Ky., with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. ESPN2 is televising the game.
