DePaul freshman sidelined for season after shoulder surgery
CHICAGO -- DePaul freshman forward Wesley Green will miss the season following shoulder surgery, the school said Wednesday.
Green said he wanted to try to play this season despite the pain, but it became impossible.
"I am already looking forward to getting 100 percent healthy and returning even stronger next season," Green said in a statement.
The 6-foot-9 Green averaged 23 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and four blocks in high school in Eustis, Fla.
DePaul's season gets under way Nov. 21 at home against Loyola.
