Rockford 34, Minnesota-Morris 27
MINNEAPOLIS -- Travis Stocker threw three touchdowns and finished with 135 yards passing to lead Rockford past Minnesota, Morris 34-27 Friday in the UMAC Dome Day tournament.
Jake Fulton caught all three touchdown passes from Stocker and finished with 79 yards on four catches at the Metrodome. Marcus Howard and Anthony Risa added rushing touchdowns for the Regents (5-3, 4-1 UMAC).
Morris (4-4, 4-1) possessed the ball for over 16 minutes longer than Rockford. But despite Donnay Green's two rushing touchdowns and Ryan Martin's two passing touchdowns, the Cougars could not pull off the victory.
It was the first time the two teams met this season.
In other Dome Day action: Principia trounced Trinity Bible 55-0; Crown defeated Blackburn 21-12; and Northwestern (Roseville) beat Maranatha Baptist 32-7.
