Elam pulls groin muscle
DENVER -- Denver kicker Jason Elam pulled his right groin in the first quarter of Denver's game against New England on Monday night.
Elam apparently pulled the muscle while missing a 44-yard field-goal attempt. He was able to kick a 43-yarder in the second quarter.
Elam was forced to leave the game after that kick, and punter Micah Knorr took over the placekicking.
Elam entered the game having made 19 of 19 PATs and 17 of 18 FGs attempted.
