BUTTE -- The Frontier Conference named Larry Morinia of Montana State-Northern and Amber Griffith of Rocky Mountain on Tuesday as its basketball players of the week.
Morinia, a 5-foot-11 senior guard from Albuquerque, N.M., ran up 54 points, four rebounds and five assists as Northern won two of three games last week.
He sank 18 of 45 field goals, including seven three-pointers, and 10 of 13 free throws as Northern lost to Lethbridge and defeated Concordia and Simon Fraser.
Griffith accounted for 16 points in each game as Rocky downed Jamestown and Black Hills State. She hit seven of 13 field goals, including one of five 3-pointers, and 17 of 18 free throws.
Griffith is a 5-11 senior forward from Miles City.
