WASHINGTON -- The Washington Redskins signed former Tennessee Titans running back John Simon on Tuesday.

The team also resigned offensive lineman Brad Bedell after releasing him from the active roster last week.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Simon played in 14 games for Tennessee last season, his rookie year. He carried the ball nine times for 18 yards and one touchdown in the regular season. He also caught 16 passes for 167 yards and three TDs.

Bedell was released from the Redskins' active roster last week. Before coming to Washington, he spent two seasons with the Cleveland Browns, starting four of 15 games in 2001.
