Arizona activates Roundtree, Rogers goes on IR
The surgery was performed after a routine pre-training camp physical showed that Roundtree had an enlarged spleen.
The seven-year NFL veteran was signed as a free agent in 2002 after five years with the San Diego Chargers. He played in 10 games for Arizona last season, starting six.
To make room for Roundtree, first-year offensive tackle Kendrick Rogers was placed on the injured reserve list with a wrist injury that will require surgery.
The Cardinals made another move on Wednesday, placing practice squad offensive lineman Tony Wragge on the injured reserve list with a knee injury.
To take his place, the Cardinals signed former University of Arizona center Steve Grace to the practice squad.
