WNBA to hold draft lottery on Dec. 3
NEW YORK -- The WNBA will hold its draft lottery on Dec. 3, the league announced Thursday.
The six teams that don't make the playoffs will participate in the lottery in Secaucus, N.J., to determine which teams will get the top three picks in April's draft.
The lottery is modeled after the one used by the NBA and is weighted to favor teams with the poorest records.
