BERLIN -- Marshevet Hooker was injured during the semifinals of the 200 meters and will be unable to join defending champion Allyson Felix and Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown of Jamaica in the final.

Hooker was running the curve Thursday when she suddenly grimaced in pain, hobbled and fell to the ground.

Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie of the Bahamas had the top qualifying time of 22.24 seconds, ahead of Campbell-Brown's 22.29.

Muna Lee and American teammate Felix were third and fourth, ahead of two more Jamaicans.
