Tour-Haselbacher sidelined with broken ribs
ANGERS, France, July 9 - Austria's Rene Haselbacher withdrew from the Tour de France on Friday after he was injured in a massive crash near the finish of the sixth stage.
The Gerolsteiner rider, who was also injured in a crash last year on the Tour, was taken to a hospital in Angers. X-rays revealed he had suffered a broken nose and three broken ribs, the Tour medical service said.
