CALIFORNIA CHROME broke alertly, angled out a path when PABLO DEL MONTE dropped in early, straightened to follow the leaders into the first turn, was guided three wide soon after to take a stalking position, commenced a run when given his cue into the far turn, took over between rivals just past three eighths pole, withstood outside pressure from SOCIAL INCLUSION, shook clear of that rival entering the stretch, spurted away when roused right handed then held sway under pressure. RIDE ON CURLIN settled in the clear with two to three wide, angled out when edging closed into the far turn, made nice four wide run approaching the quarter pole, straightended and gave willing chase and was well clear for the place. SOCIAL INCLUSION was floated out a bit when the winner angled out in the early stages, was taken four wide into the backstretch, moved in tandem with the winner three furlongs out, remained a sharp factor to upper stretch. failed to sustain in the final furlong and lasted for show. GENERAL A ROD gained a forward position along the rail into the first turn, eased out and pulled his way to contention while between rivals near the half mile pole, had his run stymied when shuffled back into the far turn, regrouped to save ground past the five sixteenths, altered out in mid stretch and finished with good energy. RING WEEKEND exchanged bumps with BAYERN shortly after the break, was taken in hand then steadied briefly entering the clubhouse turn, dropped to the rail for the backstretch run, quickly gained heading towards the half mile pole, followed the leaders under urging nearing the quarter pole, shifted out in upper stretch then went evenly in the final eighth. PABLO DEL MONTE angled in when going clear past the wire the initial time, was joined from his outside by RIA ANTONIA after a quarter mile, briefly shook clear after six furlongs, was engaged soon after, battled inside foes to the five sixteenths marker then steadily gave way. DYNAMIC IMPACT was taken off the rail soon after the break, gained two wide nearing the half mile marker, failed to go on when put to strong urging on the turn and gave way. KID CRUZ dropped well off the early pace while two to three wide, failed to generate a significanr response and could only get past tired rivals. BAYERN bobbled then was pinched back at the break, exchanged bumps with RING WEEKEND, angled out making contact with RIA ANTONIA heading towards the wire the first time, steadied briefly off heels, lost ground three to four wide, gained into the far turn, remained in contention past the three eighths pole then had nothing left to give. RIA ANONTIA leaned in at the break bumping and tightening foes, came in again soon after, shifted out then bumped with BAYERN, straightened to move up five wide under her own courage, dropped in a few paths and collared the leader, pressed the pace to the far turn and retired.
