Tuscan Evening wins Las Palmas Handicap feature
SANTA ANITA, Calif. -- Tuscan Evening beat Closeout by a length to win the $200,000 Las Palmas Handicap at Santa Anita on Friday.
The 4-year-old filly, ridden by Rafael Bejarano, ran the eight furlongs in 1:33.50, and paid $9.80, $5.60 and $4.20. Closeout returned $23.20 and $14.60. Cat by the Tale paid $7.20 to show.
The race was worth $120,000, raising Tuscan Evening's career earnings to $509,408.
