Kissable wins $100,000 Waya Stakes at Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Kissable wore down the leaders and took control at midstretch to win the $100,000 Waya Stakes for fillies and mares by four lengths at Saratoga Race Course on Monday.
John Velazquez rode the 4-year-old European import, who ran 1 1-2 miles over a yielding inner turf course in 2:32.52. The Waya was her U.S. debut and the second win of her career. The Roger Attfield-trained filly earned $60,000 for owner Three Chimneys Racing.
Kissable paid $10.40, $5.10 and $3.60. Starformer, the runner-up, paid $3.80 and $3.10. Bizzy Caroline, third of 10, returned $4 to show.
