Fast Bullet wins Hollywood Park feature
INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Fast Bullet led all the way in winning the $55,234 feature by 71/4 lengths at Betfair Hollywood Park on Thursday.
Ridden by Martin Garcia, Fast Bullet ran 61/2 furlongs on the synthetic Cushion Track in 1:15.64 and paid $2.80, $2.40 and $2.10 as the 2-5 favorite for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert.
Fast Bullet was coming off a sixth-place finish in the Breeders' Cup Sprint on Nov. 3 at Santa Anita, his first loss. He has three wins in four career starts and earnings of $87,000.
Sequoia Warrior, also trained by Baffert, returned $4.40 and $3.20, while Cyclometer was another head back in third and paid $3 to show.
Edwin Maldonado rode two winners on the card to take over first place in the jockeys' standings with 18 winners.
