NEW YORK -- Lead Me On beat Tanglewood Tale by 31/4 lengths on Wednesday, winning again in the slop in the $60,760 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
Junior Alvarado was aboard for trainer Mark Hennig as the 4-year-old earned her second win in five starts, covering the six furlongs in 1:11.93. Both victories were on sloppy tracks.
Lead Me On paid $13.80, $4.90 and $2.90. Tanglewood Tale returned $6.10 and $3.10 while Smoldering Beauty, the 3-5 favorite, paid $2.10.
Trainer Rick Dutrow went out a winner when Colossal Gift captured the final race on the card. Dutrow is scheduled to start a 10-year suspension on Thursday for multiple medication violations.
