Street Secret takes Belmont feature

NEW YORK -- Street Secret won her first start on dirt, beating Flash Forward by 1 3/4 lengths on Sunday in the $90,000 Open Mind Stakes for fillies and mares at Belmont Park.

The 5-year-old had gone 4 for 14 on the turf and synthetic tracks, primarily in Europe. She is 2 for 3 in the United States since joining Chad Brown's barn this season. Javier Castellano was aboard for the 1 1-16 miles run in 1:42.17.

Street Secret paid $4.60, $3.30 and $2.40 as the 6-5 favorite. Flash Forward returned $7 and $3.20 while Mischief Maker paid $2.50 to show.
