Wired Bryan takes Sanford Stakes

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Wired Bryan took a clear lead at mid-stretch and won the $200,000 Sanford Stakes for 2 year olds by 51/4 lengths at Saratoga Race Course on Sunday.

Shaun Bridgmohan rode Wired Bryan for trainer Michael Dilger. He ran six furlongs in 1:11.06 to remain undefeated in two starts and paid $16.40, $8.30 and $4.20. Longshot runner-up Southern Blessing paid $16.80 and $6.60. Hollywood Talent, third of six, paid $3.80 to show.

Wired Bryan earned $120,000 for his owner Ansu Stable.
