Wired Bryan wins Sanford Stakes at Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Wired Bryan won the $200, 000 Sanford Stakes for 2-year-olds Sunday at Saratoga Race Course, taking a clear lead at mid-stretch and beating Southern Blessing by 51/4 lengths.

Ridden by Shaun Bridgmohan and trained by Michael Dilger, Wired Bryan ran 6 furlongs in 1:11.06 and paid $16.40, $8.30 and $4.20 for his second victory in two career starts. Wired Bryan earned $120,000 for owner Ansu Stable.

Southern Blessing returned $16.80 and $6.60, and Hollywood Talent paid $3. 80 to show.
