Baffle Me, Wedding Toast win Belmont's stakes

NEW YORK -- Baffle Me and Wedding Toast, both odds-on favorites ridden by Javier Castellano, won the $100,000 stakes Friday at Belmont Park.

Baffle Me beat Assateague by 2 1/4 lengths in the Finney for fillies and mares on the turf. The 4-year-old trained by Mark Hennig improved to 6 for 19. Baffle Me ran seven furlongs on the firm course in 1:21.79, paying $3.30 to win.

Wedding Toast, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, extended her winning streak three with a 3½-length victory over Sheer Drama in the Belle Cherie for 3-year-old fillies. She ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:42.47 and paid $2.70 to win.
