CHICAGO -- Reliever Matt Lindstrom and the Chicago White Sox have finalized a $2.8 million, one-year contract that includes a club option for 2014.
Lindstrom will receive $2.3 million this season under Friday's agreement, and the White Sox have a $4 million option for 2014 with a $500,000 buyout.
The 32-year-old right-hander was 1-0 with a 2.68 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 46 games with Baltimore and Arizona last season. He was traded to the Diamondbacks on Aug. 26 for left-handed pitcher Joe Saunders and a player to be named.
