Celtics' Allen has surgery on torn knee ligaments
The surgery was performed at New England Baptist Hospital by Celtics physician Brian McKeon, the team said in a statement.
Allen, who is out indefinitely, tore two ligaments in his knee when he landed awkwardly after an uncontested dunk in the final minutes of a loss to Indiana on Wednesday.
He is averaging 11.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.48 steals in 33 games this season.
