Elon dominates Central Pennsylvania in 126-78 win
ELON, N.C. -- Ryley Beaumont scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as six Elon players hit double figures in a 126-78 win over Central Pennsylvania Thursday night.
Elon (6-6) shot 59 percent from the field and set a school record for most points scored in a game. The previous record of 124 had stood since 1955.
Central Pennsylvania, a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, kept the game close midway through the first half before Elon took control with a 27-13 run to carry a 56-36 advantage into the break. The Phoenix continued to pull away in the second half.
