Wright State beats Div. 3 Mount St. Joseph 58-49
DAYTON, Ohio -- Jerran Young scored 16 of his 24 points in the second half as Wright State rallied to beat Mount St. Joseph, a Division III opponent, 58-49 Sunday.
Young scored eight points and Reggie Arceneaux five points during a 19-5 run that gave the Raiders (9-4) a 48-35 lead with 7:35 remaining.
The Lions (5-6), who led 18-7 after a 15-0 first-half run, shot 61.1 percent (11 of 18) in the second half, but turnovers were their undoing. Wright State scored 20 points off turnovers in the second half and Mount St. Joseph finished with 29 turnovers for the game.
Young made 11 of 14 shots for the Raiders and also had six steals, although he committed seven of Wright State's 15 turnovers.
David Mann scored 16 points and Joel Scudder 14 to lead Mount St. Joseph, which led 22-21 at the half.
