Kuale sidelined 4-to-6 weeks with ankle injury
BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU starting linebacker E.J. Kuale will be out for 4-to-6 weeks after suffering an ankle injury in practice on Monday, coach Les Miles said Tuesday.
Kuale, a senior from Daytona Beach, Fla., suffered the injury in a non-scrimmage drill, LSU said in a news release. He had been listed as the starter for LSU's Sept. 3 season opener against North Texas.
A transfer from Dodge City Community College, Kuale is entering his second year at LSU. He played in 11 games with two starts for the Tigers in 2004. He had 22 tackles including four tackles for losses and a pair of sacks last season.
