JONESBORO, Ark. -- Two Arkansas State football players were arrested after an altercation at a skating rink in February, according to a police report.

Kevin Jones, 19, a wide receiver, and Tyler McNeeley, 20, a defensive end, were arrested Feb. 19 on charges of disorderly conduct. Jones was also arrested on a charge of resisting arrest.

Jones pleaded guilty on both charges in Craighead County District Court on March 1. He was ordered to perform 20 hours of public service and fined $250. McNeeley's charges were eventually dismissed. He negotiated a plea on March 20, according to court documents.

According to a police report, Jones was involved in a fight with an unknown person inside the skating facility. After several attempts to break up the fight, police used a taser to subdue Jones.

Arkansas State coach Steve Roberts said both players were disciplined. He did not elaborate.

"They have been disciplined and their discipline is still ongoing, and those sanctions will remain in-house," Roberts said. "We treat any incident as a serious incident."

Jones, a redshirt freshman, played in 11 games last season. He had eight receptions for 161 yards. He also returned kickoffs and had seven rushes for 47 yards and a touchdown.

McNeeley, also a redshirt freshman, missed the 2005 season because of a knee injury.
