POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Matt Lancaster passed for 241 yards and a touchdown to help Butler beat Marist 17-14 in a Pioneer Football League showdown Saturday.

Marist (2-4, 1-2) answered when Chuckie Looney connected with Anthony Calgani on a 2-yard pass to tie the game at 7.
With a minute remaining in the third quarter, Jonathan Treloar's 20-yard field goal proved to be the difference, as Butler's defense held strong and forced punts on Marist's last three possessions.
