LUBBOCK, Texas -- Brittney Griner set the Big 12 women's career scoring record on Wednesday night, finishing with 40 points in top-ranked Baylor's 90-60 victory over Texas Tech.
It was the fourth career 40-point performance for Griner, who also had 15 rebounds for her 51st double-double.
Griner passed Oklahoma State's Andrea Riley for the record while scoring the first four points of the game, giving her 2,837 for her career. Riley had 2,835 points from 2007-2010.
Brooklyn Pope added 14 points for Baylor (19-1, 9-0).
Kelsi Baker scored 12 points for Texas Tech (16-5, 6-3), which had won four in a row.
NO. 12 LOUISVILLE 78, SOUTH FLORIDA 75
TAMPA, Fla. -- Shoni Schimmel scored a career-high 38 points and Louisville rallied to get the win.
The junior guard made a jumper and three 3-pointers as the Cardinals (18-4, 6-2 Big East) tied the game after trailing 60-51. Another 3 by Schimmel at the 3:05 mark put Louisville ahead to stay, 69-66.
Schimmel's total was the highest for Louisville since Angel McCoughtry, now with the Atlanta Dream, scored 43 against Providence on Jan. 31, 2009.
The Bulls (14-6, 3-4) pulled within a point twice in the final 21 seconds, but Schimmel and Antonita Slaughter each hit two foul shots to preserve the win.
Twins Andrell and Andrea Smith led South Florida with 18 and 17 points, respectively.
NO. 17 DAYTON 60, VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH 49
RICHMOND, Va. -- Andrea Hoover, Cassie Sant and Olivia Applewhite each had a double-double, helping Dayton remain perfect in the Atlantic 10.
Hoover scored 15 points, Sant had 12 and Applewhite finished with 10. All three players grabbed 10 rebounds.
The Flyers (18-1, 6-0), who entered 13th nationally with a plus-9.4 rebound margin, outrebounded VCU 42-37.
VCU's Robyn Parks, who entered leading the A-10 with 17.8 points per game, had 17 points and 13 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season. Adaeze Alaeze added 14 points for the Rams (8-13, 1-5).
NO. 21 OKLAHOMA 74, TCU 53
NORMAN, Okla. -- Sharane Campbell scored 23 points to lead Oklahoma to the victory.
Nicole Griffin added 11 points and Joanna McFarland had 12 rebounds for the Sooners (16-4, 6-2 Big 12), who fell behind 11-0. Aaryn Ellenberg, the team's leading scorer, had seven points before leaving with a left leg injury early in the second half.
Oklahoma grabbed control with a 20-1 run over a 5:15 stretch early in the second half.
Zahna Medley had 18 points for the Horned Frogs (7-12, 0-8).
KANSAS 78, NO. 23 IOWA STATE 75, OT
LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Angel Goodrich made a tying 3-pointer with 16 seconds left in regulation, then scored seven of Kansas' 13 points in the extra session, leading the Jayhawks to the win.
Iowa State (14-5, 5-4 Big 12) appeared to be in control when Anna Prins' layup made it 55-37 with 8:56 left. But the Jayhawks (13-6, 4-4) outscored ISU 28-10 the rest of regulation, capping the comeback with Goodrich's 3.
In overtime, Goodrich made a jumper and a 3-pointer before hitting two free throws to help seal the win. She finished with 24 points, 10 assists and five steals.
Natalie Knight added 21 points for Kansas.
Brynn Williamson scored 19 points for Iowa State. Hallie Christofferson had 18 and Chelsea Poppens finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
