Packers sign WR Rodgers
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers signed wide receiver Cory Rodgers, an All-American kick returner from TCU, on Tuesday.
The 6-foot, 186-pound Rodgers left TCU after his junior season as the school's career leader in kickoff return yards (1,747) and total return yards (2,572). His 4,798 all-purpose yards were second behind LaDainian Tomlinson (5,499).
Rodgers tied a TCU record with 17 career touchdown receptions and had 10 TDs rushing. He was drafted in the fourth round, the 104th pick overall.
With Rodgers' signing, the Packers now have seven of their league-high 12 draft picks under contract.
Linebacker A.J. Hawk , the team's first-round pick and fifth overall, remains unsigned.
