ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins signed veteran tight end Todd Yoder and released fullback Nehemiah Broughton on Tuesday.

Yoder, primarily a blocking tight end and special teams player, has spent four seasons with Tampa Bay and two with Jacksonville. He did not play last year because of a knee injury and was cut by the Jaguars after this year's training camp.

Broughton was a seventh-round pick by the Redskins last season. He was inactive for Monday night's game against Dallas.
