EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings released wide receiver Randy Hymes on Tuesday.

Hymes was added to the roster after the 2006 season. He was one of Jacksonville's final cuts before the season. Prior to that, he spent four seasons with Baltimore -- starting 10 games over his final two years and totaling 578 yards and four touchdowns over 2004 and 2005.

On Monday, the Vikings signed rookie free agent linebacker John Kerr, who played at Ohio State.
