Saints agree to terms with 5th, 7th-round picks
METAIRIE, La. -- New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says the club has agreed to terms on four-year contracts with fifth-round draft pick Corey White and seventh-rounder Marcel Jones.
The 22-year-old White is a cornerback out of Samford, a school in the NCAA's Football Championship Subdivision.
Jones, who is 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, is an offensive tackle out of Nebraska.
White, listed at 6-1, 205, started for Samford the past two seasons, intercepting seven passes, forcing four fumbles and blocking a field goal.
The 23-year-old Jones started 21 games at right tackle for the Cornhuskers and was All-Big Ten honorable mention last season, when he blocked for a running game that ranked 15th nationally.
Financial terms for the two contracts have not been released.
