NEW YORK -- Comments on the Chicago Bears by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

CHICAGO BEARS (6)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 6) -- Another game, another two TDs scored by the defense.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 3) -- Opportunistic defense has scored more than Jacksonville's offense the past two weeks.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 6)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 7) -- As long as they keep scoring TDs on defense, I'll keep moving them up the list.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 5) -- Shades of '85 as Da Bears pulverize the Jags on the road. Charles Tillman and Lance Briggs now in the record books for INT returns for TD two weeks in a row.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 5) -- The defenses of Buffalo and Detroit led the NFL with five interceptions for touchdowns in 2011. The Bears already have five such TDs through five weeks this season.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 5) -- Now you know why Chicago isn't Second City anymore. The Bears' defense outscored Chicago's last three opponents by itself.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 6) -- They've already scored five times on returns. That's one less TD than the Jags or Raiders have generated all season.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 7) -- Keep an eye on the Bears with that defense and the moody Jay Cutler. This team can play any of the guys above them.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 6) -- The Bears defense is scoring TD's at a record pace and the offense is "finding it's way." The Bears will be tough to beat with this equation.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 4) -- Jay Cutler and his Bears are truly smoking.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 6) -- Their defense has become one of the best offenses in the NFL.
