??AP Pro32 comments about Broncos??
NEW YORK -- Comments on the Denver Broncos by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
DENVER BRONCOS (15)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 15) -- Manning-Brady Bowl 13 over, now concentrate on first place.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 16) -- Better than their record, but brutal early season schedule has taken its toll.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 16)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 15) -- Costly mistakes holding them back on both sides of the ball, but don't count out Manning and the Broncos.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 14) -- The bad news: Peyton lost again to Brady. The good news: The Broncos are almost finished with their treacherous early-season schedule.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 19) -- Peyton Manning has passed for three consecutive 300-yard games with eight TDs and no interceptions -- yet the Broncos won only one of those games.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 16) -- So Peyton Manning is playing well. Look at the big picture, people: Even he can't rescue Denver from a brutal schedule. Maybe it's because the Broncos just aren't that good.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 14) -- A minus-6 turnover differential and a grueling early schedule is cause for concern.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 10) -- They are better than their record. Their schedule to date has been tough with four of their first five games against 2011 playoff teams.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 13) -- The Broncos aren't there yet as a team. I believe they will keep getting better, but that needs to be reflected in the urgency they play with.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 16) -- Peyton Manning has completed 61 of 82 passes for six touchdowns and no interceptions over the past two games. But even if he remains red hot, the Broncos won't be getting to the playoffs if they keep staking huge early leads to the opposition like in last Sunday's 31-21 loss at New England.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 17) -- We know they can score, but they need to be able to score before they are out of the game.
