??AP Pro32 comments about 49ers??
NEW YORK -- Comments on the San Francisco 49ers by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (3)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 3) -- Running game like Texas wishbone in old Southwest Conference.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 1) -- Love their intensity, even when holding a huge lead. Face rematch Sunday against Giants.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 3)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 3) -- Beat down of Buffalo was impressive and so was the fact that they had over 600 yards of offense.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 1) -- Niners have outscored last two opponents by a combined 79-3. Right here, right now, they're the most complete team out there.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 4) -- QB Alex Smith has been turnover-free in the 49ers' four victories. He committed two turnovers in the only loss to Minnesota.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 3) -- I really want to rank these guys higher, and for one simple reason: They're the best team I've seen this year. Odd as it sounds, that loss to Minnesota will strengthen them.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 3) -- They know who they are and what they're good at and that's half the battle.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 3) -- The defense has given up 3 points in the last two weeks and Alex Smith is playing well on offense.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 3) -- The AFC East is waving the white flag as the 49ers have pummeled the Jets and Bills in successive weeks.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 3) -- Call them the 79ers. San Francisco thrashed Buffalo and the New York Jets by a 79-3 margin the past two weeks.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 3) -- This team has had more dominating victories than any other.
