NEW YORK -- Comments on the New York Giants by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

NEW YORK GIANTS (10)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 11) -- Assuming bye week is what doctor ordered.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 11) -- Plenty to fix during the bye. Eli Manning needs the break.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 10)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 10) -- Dropping fast just like Eli's QB rating.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 9) -- Another year, another second-half swoon for the Giants. This time, Eli Manning's the biggest issue; no TD passes in his last three games. That hasn't happened since his rookie season.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 10) -- Eli Manning has gone three games without throwing a touchdown pass for the slumping Giants. He has passed for fewer than 200 yards in two of them. He appears to have a tired arm.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 11) -- So what do you think happens when Eli Manning goes three weeks without a touchdown pass?

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 9) -- A week off to dwell on yet another puzzling midyear slump for the defending champs.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 11) -- I hate to say it, but the Bengal loss sure makes it look like the Giants are in their classic midseason slump. It's a good thing the rest of the division is questionable.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 12) -- My preseason No. 1 's inconsistent play of late has them dropping. I still believe this is a team that will challenge for the Lombardi. I'm starting to get concerned, though. Can they pull it together?

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 12) -- The Giants had their worst performance of the season in a 31-13 loss at Cincinnati. On the bright side, November is usually rough for the Giants before this team gets its act together for a playoff push.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 11) -- If anyone knows who is wearing No. 10 for this team and what he did with Eli Manning, please alert the authorities.
