NEW YORK -- Comments on the Washington Redskins by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

WASHINGTON REDSKINS (14)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 16) -- RG3, welcome to Monday Night madness.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 12) -- Robert Griffin III keeps raising possibilities for the Redskins.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 14)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 15) -- At 6-6 they are in position to make a run especially with what's remaining on the schedule.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 13) -- Man, does RG III love the spotlight. Kid beats Giants to move his team within a game of first place in the NFC East.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 14) -- Robert Griffin III is showing maturity beyond his years with just one interception in his last five games as the Redskins have pieced together a surprising run at an NFC East title.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 14) -- There's no physical cliff in Washington. RG3, Alfred Morris and a revitalized defense have the Redskins in the middle of the NFC East race.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 14) -- Fiscal cliffs aside, the buzz has returned to the nation's capital.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 14) -- RG3 is becoming one of the most dangerous players in the NFL and he is leading his team to victories. They have the tiebreaker over the Tampa Bay Bucs. If the Seahawks lose their cornerbacks watch out for the 'Skins.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 14) -- The 'Skins are back in the hunt after an impressive W on Monday night against the Giants. Mike Shanahan and his staff are coaching their hearts out. On offense they are maxing out RG3's vast skill and on D they are doing a lot with a little.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 13) -- The last time the Redskins made the playoffs came after a strong finish to the 2007 season. History may be set to repeat itself based upon Washington's performance in Monday night's 17-16 win over the New York Giants.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 12) -- Perhaps they will start a new trend, and most every team will be running the triple option fumble.
