NEW YORK -- Comments on the New York Jets by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

NEW YORK JETS (23)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 25) -- Should start Richard Todd.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 26) -- Is anyone surprised that their quarterback situation got messy?

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 20)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 22) -- It's time to find out more about Greg McElroy.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 24) -- Mark Sanchez gets yanked for the first time, and Greg McElroy saves the day against the Cardinals. Will Rex Ryan pull the plug on the Sanchez era?

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 23) -- Mark Sanchez threw five TD passes in September but only seven more over the last months.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 23) -- There is no truth to the rumor that the Jets are contacting Brett Favre as we speak.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 25) -- They finally met a team with even more troubling QB issues.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 24) -- The team lost its identity and it's hard to predict where they go from here. Sanchez was benched, McElroy looked better than Tebow did as a Jet and before the week is over someone at the Jets will say something about how good they still are this season.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 25) -- Joe Namath may line up at QB for the Jets this week. Jets fan could only wish.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 23) -- A 7-6 victory over Arizona was a perfect embodiment of just how ugly this season has become for the Jets (5-7).

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 21) -- Greg McElroy wouldn't have been the best quarterback in any NFL stadium except the one he was in Sunday.
