NEW YORK -- Comments on the Indianapolis Colts by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 14) -- Magical playoff run, even winning when they allow 300 yards rushing.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 12) -- Chuck Pagano is back to work, and his defense needs his help.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 9)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 9) -- Magical season for the Colts and if Bruce Arians doesn't win coach of the year, something's wrong.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 11) -- What a welcome back present: The Colts deliver Chuck Pagano a playoff berth upon his return to work on Monday after cancer treatment. Fine job, Bruce Arians.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 9) -- Can an assistant coach be named the NFL's coach of the year? Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians has out himself in that position for his interim work filling in for ailing head coach Chuck Pagano this season.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 11) -- This story just keeps getting better. First, the Colts make the playoffs. Now Chuck Pagano is back. Yes, Indiana, there is a Santa Claus.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 12) -- How do you go from two wins to 10? In this case, Luck is a key factor.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 9) -- They are the surprise story of 2012. There wasn't a football person alive in August that attached playoffs to the Colts. Can they win on the road? We'll find out.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 10)

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 10) -- Advice to fans attending Sunday's home game against Houston: Bring earplugs and tissues. You'll need both when Colts head coach Chuck Pagano makes his return to the sideline.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 11) -- They will get an emotional boost from the return of Chuck Pagano this week, as if they need one.
