USA Gymnastics tabs Peszek V.P. of women's program
INDIANAPOLIS -- USA Gymnastics has named Luan Peszek vice president of the women's program.
Peszek has spent 25 years at USA Gymnastics, most recently working as the managing director of communications. In her new role she will be responsible for the overall direction and management of the women's program, including the elite and Junior Olympic programs.
USA Gymnastics President Steve Penny called Peszek an "excellent leader" who will be a perfect fit in her new position.
Peszek has coached at both the Olympic and NCAA level. Her daughter, Samantha Peszek, was a member of the 2008 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics team that won silver in the team competition.
