COMMERCE CITY, Colo. -- Brad Davis scored on a penalty kick in the 82nd minute in his first game back from the World Cup to give the Houston Dynamo a 2-2 tie with the New York Red Bulls on Friday night.
Houston (5-10-3) ended a club-record five game losing streak.
Davis was awarded the penalty kick after New York's Chris Duvall was whistled for a handball.
New York (4-5-8) tied it in the 13th minute when Bradley Wright-Phillips ran down a long ball from Eric Alexander and put home a one-touch effort. Wright-Phillips made it 2-1 in the 72nd with his MLS-leading 14th goal of the season, redirecting a cross from Ambroise Oyongo Bitolo.
REAL SALT LAKE 2, REVOLUTION 1
SANDY, Utah -- Joao Plata broke a tie on a penalty kick in the 65th minute and Real Salt Lake beat New England to end a five-game winless streak.
Plata blasted a rising shot to the upper left corner for his team-leading seventh goal of the season. He got the kick after referee Allen Chapman ruled Chris Tierney fouled John Stertzer in the penalty area.
New England has lost four straight.
FC DALLAS 2, UNION 1
FRISCO, Texas -- Tesho Akindele had an early goal and FC Dallas got the go-ahead score on Philadelphia's own goal.
FC Dallas (7-7-5) took the lead in the 49th minute when Philadelphia (4-8-6) misplayed a clearance inside the box. Fabinho deflected the ball off a helpless Sheanon Williams.
Akindele opened the scoring in the 26th minute, one-timed a straight-ahead chip from Blas Perez. The Union tied it just before halftime when Amobi Okugo punched in a low finish off Cristian Maidana's cross.
CREW 1, RAPIDS 1, TIE
Ethan Finlay took advantage of a defensive mistake to give Columbus a tie with Colorado.
In the 76th minute, Colorado midfielder Dillon Powers attempted a cross-field back pass to his defense, but Jairo Arrieta stole it and fed the trailing Finlay for a shot that rolled into the far corner.
Columbus (4-5-8) has had four straight ties.
