Germany beats Austria 2-1 in World Cup qualifier

VIENNA -- Marco Reus scored his third international goal in the 44th minute, Mesut Oezil added a penalty kick in the 52nd and Germany held on for a 2-1 win over Austria on Tuesday night in World Cup qualifying.
Zlatko Junuzovic reduced Austria's deficit in the 57th minute, converting a cross by Marko Arnautovic.
Germany (2-0) leads Group C with six points, three ahead of Sweden and Ireland (both 1-0). Austria is 0-1.
