"Well, that was easier than expected."
HIGHLIGHTS: An Oklahoma couple sips champagne but there are a few problems because of fall Saturdays; a Georgia couple on Steve Spurrier ruining their first date; several scenes from USC Homecoming, including a fake Sarah Palin; and sadly, Florida destroys the Dawgs in Jacksonville.
The Dawgs fall hard to the Gators (11/03/08)
Most common argument about the Georgia Bulldogs headed into this season: "Schedule's too tough." Possible argument at this juncture: "That's true, but what of not showing up in big games?" At halftime of the Alabama game, Georgia was down 31-0 in Athens. This past Saturday, they got completely woodshedded by a hot Florida team, a game that our girl Chelsea Lipocky for A Season in the Stands tries to wrap her head around. It's not easy. There is a rather touching story about being a Dawg fan at the midway point of this video, though.

USC Homecoming: It rains, people dress like Palin and the Trojans destroy Washington (11/03/08)
Here's what you'll see in this video: a USC senior impersonating Sarah Palin on Halloween night; a bunch of dudes complaining about how the rain makes them think of Washington and our girl Jamie Hersch from A Season in the Stands wondering where USC can fit into the national title mix after the Texas/Texas Tech result. Hey, from politics to rain to questions about fitting in—this video is a snapshot of early 20somethingdom. Check it out.

A couple at Oklahoma is doing really well - 'cept for Saturday mornings (10/31/08)
In keeping with the theme of A Season in the Stands this week—college football's effect on relationships—Alex Shumate at Oklahoma comes across a couple in Norman for whom everything is peachy at the six-month mark (isn't it always?) 'cept for a few differences in opinion on how to handle Saturday mornings. Uh, could this be a deal-breaker?

A look at a Georgia couple and how their first date, well, sucked (10/31/08)
The theme for A Season in the Stands this week is: college football's effect on the relationship. (It's a fairly profound topic.) Last weekend, one of our editors at ESPNTheMag.Com came to this conclusion with some friends: if you ask a person "What's your worst date story?" and they can't answer, they're basically lying and you shouldn't be friends with them. In this video, Chelsea Lipocky of UGA finds a couple with a terrible date story involving a Dawgs football game—last year's loss to Spurrier and the Gamecocks—but luckily for our central characters in this video, everything worked out and they're still together. But honestly, the story in this video is brutal. "And then I realized my best friend had fainted." Sheesh. Just watch.

A look at USC's Homecoming pep rally (10/31/08)
You kinda gotta feel bad for the Washington Huskies right now. They're pretty awful—they should have a win, though, if not for this Jake Locker penalty—and now they gotta march into Los Angeles and play USC at the Trojans' Homecoming. Side note: is it time for Pete Carroll to start running up scores to make up for the shortcomings of the Pac 10 schedule? Our USC girl for A Season In the Stands, Jamie Hersch, checks in from the Homecoming pep rally. Somewhat unsurprisingly, there appears to be a song from a George Lucas movie humming softly in the background. Trojan family, indeed.
