"Well, that escalated quickly."

Is Oklahoma definitely heading to Miami now? (11/24/08)
Check out a video with USC students trying to determine what bowl they are headed for here.
Boomer Sooner, indeed. Bob Stoops pulled out the whole "pupils can't beat mentors" thing, woodshedded Mike Leach and company in Norman and now has ascended to No. 3 in the BCS. Since someone has to lose that Alabama vs. Florida game on December 6th, it seems safe to assume that the Oklahoma Sooners may play the SEC Champion in Miami assuming they win their Bedlam game and the Big 12 title. Is "Big Game Bob" back enough after Saturday night to get national title No. 2? Time will tell. In the meantime, since the game was pretty tough to watch, we decided to bring you highlights of the Norman tailgate via A Season in the Stands: Stoops' troops, pork, two large-screen TVs, queso, cornhole and a beautiful afternoon in Oklahoma. Enjoy.

Our final report from OSU for 2008 (11/25/2008)
Justin Parsons at Ohio State wraps up his involvement with A Season in the Stands with a report on the Buckeyes' 42-7 trouncing of Michigan to end the regular season. Shouldn't come as a surprise: one of the kids in this video knows the exact number of days since the Wolverines last beat the Bucks.

With Oklahoma jumping to 3, where does USC fit in? (11/24/08)
A Season in the Stands
At the end of this video, a USC student says: "Oregon State can't go to the Rose Bowl. They just can't!" Well, if they win The Civil War this Saturday against Oregon, they can and will. With the Big 12 and SEC locking up the top BCS spots right now, well, where does that leave the USC Trojans? As this video will teach ya, students have no idea, but the leading options in the Hope Division appear to be: Rose Bowl (c'mon Ducks!) vs. JoePa, the Holiday Bowl or "the Fiesta Bowl versus a Big 12 team." It's tough to be on the outside looking in.

Sooner Nation awaits the arrival of the Red Raiders (11/21/08)
Check out all the "A Season in the Stands" content here.
Pretty big game in Norman this Saturday night, eh? No. 2 Texas Tech rolls in to collide with No. 5 Oklahoma. Because Oklahoma plays Texas every year at neutral site Dallas, some people are calling this the biggest game in Norman under Mr. Bob Stoops. Quick rundown of the themes: Mike Leach used to work under Stoops; the Red Raiders are 0-4 in Norman under Leach; this game is going to be an absolute laser show; and the better QB between Sam Bradford and Graham Harrell may become the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy. Oh, and College Gameday will be there. Want to get psyched even more for it? Watch the video right here, a hyper-kinetic look at how Oklahoma's campus is preparing for the arrival of the Red Raiders. "I hate that horse!" (Watch and you'll understand.) Also, watch this video about what the Sooner tailgate is like between Gameday and game time.
BONUS: WANT TO SEE SOME OHIO STATE STUDENTS JUMP IN A FREEZING COLD LAKE TWO NIGHTS BEFORE THE MICHIGAN GAME?

How do you watch the games when you're tailgating from College Gameday until 8pm? (11/21/08)
College Gameday will start rocking Norman, Oklahoma at 9am local time on Saturday. The actual game between the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Tech Red Raiders doesn't kick 'till 7pm local. That's a rather large gap of time and hey, once you're out there partying, why go back to the dorms? But…an issue! How do you follow the rest of the Big 12, and that all-important Florida vs. The Citadel tilt? Cue dramatic music: Slingbox! At least that's what Boomer Sooner Nation does, apparently in between smoking cigars in a parking lot. Just watch this video.
