Often, ESPN The Magazine will provide athletes with a camera to record their lives for fans, all-access style. Here are a few of those offerings.

Blake Griffin did a video diary for us before his final season at Oklahoma.

Don't you want to know what your favorite player's lives are really like? We have six camcorders in this office. Every so often, we send one out and get candid, full-access results back -- here are a few of the examples. Each entry below contains both text and video of the player referenced in the hyperlink. Enjoy.



Many NBA-bound '09 Tar Heels hang out with Obama at the White House
When UNC got the call for the traditional White House visit they asked us to tag along (of course). We charged four-year senior point guard Bobby Frasor with documenting the historic event. The President scrimmaged with the Heels just over a year ago and, after being held scoreless, smartly picked the team to win it all. Here's an inside look at a once in a lifetime event.

Even if you transferred colleges and went to two or three of the schools remaining in the Dance, you probably didn't get four games in to your thinking without mentioning Oklahoma vs. 'Cuse: the hottest team vs. the best player in da land. You ever stop and think, though: what is Blake Griffin really like? You're in luck. We gave him a camcorder last fall and here's the video product that was created. It's a portrait of laid-back superstardom. Hopefully Eric Devendorf and company are ready for 'dis.

Eric Maynor: The Video Diary
Eric Maynor is probably best known for this shot to eliminate Duke from the NCAA Tournament in the first round a few years back (great Kevin Harlan "IS THIS THE DAGGER?" call there) or just going off against George Mason in the CAA Tourney. Dude is a very legit basketball player, though: he's averaging over 24 PPG. In keeping with what we did with Blake Griffin, we gave Maynor a video camera and asked him to document his life. Fun times. You'll enjoy it.
