The King ... and our own version.

You could say that ESPN The Magazine senior writer Chris Broussard has been on a semi-Cavs beat a little bit this year. He hit up Cleveland twice to check out the haps at a barbershop -- talking LeBron James and Kobe Bryant while there -- and got a sitdown interview with the King. If you look at the content options below, you will find both text and video related to the Cleveland Cavaliers as they get ready for the dawn of the Eastern Conference Finals. Enjoy.

Broussard's video chat with "King" LeBron James
This was filmed ("shot") immediately before the playoffs commenced, and are a candid glimpse into LeBron's thoughts on perhaps the most important two-month stretch of his professional existence. Enjoy.

Broussard's gonna be on First Take this morning (02-06-09) talking about it. If you saw him there and that's why you're here, well, follow along with us.

Chris Broussard on Lebron, Cleveland... and LeBron AND Cleveland (with video)
After the jump on this piece: a video with three LeBron super fans from Cleveland. One of the most surprising things about reporting on how Cavaliers fans are handling all the hoopla about LeBron James' possible departure in 2010 was the number of LeBron detractors I found at Today's Cut & Style, a barber shop in the eastern suburb of Cleveland Heights. Don Crump, one of the main subjects of the story, all but begged me not to write what some of the more negative patrons had to say about LeBron, for fear that the comments would motivate The King to take his act to New York. I told Don, "No deal, I'm reporting what I see.'' I also reported what LeBron is seeing.
