W2W4: WEEKEND DELIGHT

"Psycho T" is going hunting for Dookies Saturday night.
Never let it be said that the weekend before Championship Week is all anticipation and no action. There's something for everyone! If you're a NBA fan, we're counting three huge games between now and Sunday (all in the Western Conference). Duke and UNC take center stage Saturday night, Crosby and Ovechkin are a reason to wake early Sunday and if you're looking for a reason to celebrate tonight, the I-Pod was patented on this day in 2006. Quick, go download Sara Bareilies "Love Song" and hop aboard our weekend preview.
A week from today, Joe Lundari will mean more to you than your family, you'll be salivating over some also-ran making a deep run in a major conference tournament, and "sports" can be summed up in two words: "college basketball." March belongs to that, so we'll begin with Carolina and Duke on Saturday night (9pm ET, ESPN), always on the short list for "biggest rivalry in sports." Georgetown and Louisville roll it out for the regular season Big East title (12pm ET) the same day [Ed's note: We'll be sending a camcorder and a dream to the Big East Tournament next week at MSG.]
On the NBA tip, Utah and Phoenix lock up Friday (9pm ET), New Orleans tries to be the first team to stop Houston since a week before the Super Bowl (Saturday, 8:30pm ET) and old friends San Antonio and Phoenix do battle on Sunday (3:30pm ET, ABC). Even if you're a huge believer in the Lakers, there's a strong chance one of those five teams will represent the West in the NBA Finals. At the very least, Sunday's another chance to see two of the most dominant big men ever rumble.
The NHL has its absolute best on display Sunday afternoon, as the Penguins take on the Capitals (12:30pm ET). Sid the Kid is ridiculous, and Ovechkin is near surreal . If these two are gonna "save the game," a double hat trick in this one would be some sugar on Bettman's Froot Loops.
Plenty of pop culture ephemera this weekend. Lynn Swann turns 56 Friday, Joe Carter turns 48, and Saturday marks the 37th Anniversary of Ali vs. Frazier at MSG , dubbed by many boxing critics as "The Fight of the Century." Barbie turns 49 on Sunday, which brings to mind a lot of athlete wives, including one of our faves.
It's been 12 years since the passing of Notorious B.I.G. Sunday as well, so we'll leave you with some advice for the weekend via his words: "Sky's the limit" (alternatively, "Play the charts like the Beatles"). What's that mean? Process the above information and enjoy your calm before the storm as a sports fan. In one week, it's gonna get a lot 'madder.'
We'll be back Monday with a crazy-full week: new original videos on mid-major contenders, Big East students battling each other in a variety of games, baseball reports, a brand-new "Six Clicks" based on March Madness, and so much more.
Oh, and don't forget to set your clocks forward.
