Gradua-ma-mated?

SCREW THE MATH:
In their Big East Tournament game yesterday, Bob Huggins' West Virginia Mountaineers held Providence to two field goals in the last seven minutes; the total was nearly as poor as Huggins' graduation rate during the 1990s at Cincinnati, where an average of 1.7 players per year walked the aisle.

QUESTIONS WE WON'T GET TO ASK TODAY:
NY Giants fans:
It's a good thing Eli is superhuman now, right? Because otherwise, you'd have to worry about this .
Boston Celtics:
For the public to pay attention to your winning streak, must Kevin Garnett go down with a season-ending injury?
David West:
We should probably start taking you seriously, eh?

ODDITITES:
Odds on...the second "most pathetic set of tires" Tony Stewart has ever raced on.
(12 to 1) The plastic ones on his Radio Flyer tricycle.
(5 to 1) The flat ones on his Trek six-speed.
(EVEN) The clamped ones on his street-side SUV when the city of Indianapolis noticed he hadn't paid his parking tickets.

OVERHEARD:
At last night's ESPN The Magazine 10th Anniversary party

"If the dudes from Third Eye Blind played sports, what would they play?"
"I dunno, but I hope they figure it out soon, because this set is way too loud."
"Basketball? Yea, I agree. Totally basketball!"

WORD OF THE DAY: Caricatural
Think you know why? Give us a shout at Editor.ESPNMag@GMail.Com. We might just make it worth your while today. On this topic, yesterday's word was "pogey," but in our haste to get to MSG and then our party, we forgot to tell you its relevance. "Abundance" or "prosperity" seemed to apply well to the beginning of major conference tournaments.

TODAY ON THE SITE
This afternoon, we'll be rolling out a little "Big East Tournament Day 1 and 2" man on the street kick. Should be cool. As for the rest of the day, we've got a sweet batch of content, some new 10th Anniversary stuff getting the spotlight, and frankly, we're just wondering the average in-time of most people in this office after last night's party.
