The only way WSU can take UNC (7:30, CBS) is with a Dean Smith-era four corners. Later in Charlotte, Louisville meets Tennessee (10:00, CBS). The Cardinals could run away with it tonight—especially with Lofton on a bum kick stand. Lastly, we've got to root for our favorite Giant Killer, Western Kentucky against UCLA ( 9:40, CBS) whose "amophorous" mascot Big Red, needs a newname. Brazelton will work.

On the professional basketball front, there's a little something of note in Denver, where the Nuggets meet the Mavericks (8:00 TNT). Denver is only two games behind Dallas in the tightening West playoff race. Carmelo just signed a $60 mill endorsement (Nike: all it takes is an Etch A Sketch!). It's crunch time.
